The Os Miscellany is a monthly offline newsletter sent to readers through the post wherever they are in the world. Something like the letters page from an esoteric journal crossed with a parish magazine, the Miscellany has updates, reviews, musings, dispatches, ideas and ponderings from magicians and magically adjacent folk. We have had letters on all sorts of things including tree allies, birds as messengers, saint bothering, pilgrimages, magical gatherings, poetry, gardening, dry stone walling, holy wells and more. And I am always excited as to what is going to turn up for publication each month.
I chose to create it in order to keep connected with people, reading their news and thoughts, but also because I wanted very much to be creating and printing something each month, folding it, addressing envelopes with my favourite fountain pen and going on trips to the post office to send it. All of these thigns bring me joy, and you can read more about how I came to create the Os Miscellany on my Substack here.

If you would like to receive a copy of the Os Miscellany, get in touch with me via the website, X, Instagram or over at the Magic Words on Substack with your name and address and I’ll send one over.
The Os Miscellany will never be an online publication, and it will always be free to those who would like to receive a copy. That said, it does cost money to post things, to print them on the nice paper and procure the special blue envelopes, rather than use email or an online platform. If you’d like to support me in creating the Miscellany, you can do so here for £5.00 a month, or whatever you can afford. You can also send me UK stamps through the post, or make a one off donation at my Ko-Fi page here.
